Green Planet Bio-Fuels and CS Trap Service Merge to Boost Sustainable Oil Collection

Steve Hyman, president of Green Planet Bio-Fuels (GPBF) behind the two iconic UCO collection trucks of GPBF and CS Trap Service.

Green Planet Bio-Fuels, one of North America’s leading used cooking oil recycling companies, officially announces its merger with CS Trap Service, one of Southwestern Ontario’s largest grease trap collection companies. This strategic move will significantly boost sustainable operations and waste-to-energy initiatives across Ontario.

Steve Hyman, president of GPBF, shared that the merger comes at the perfect time to provide clients with world-class service following global standards for used cooking oil collection. “Green Planet Bio-Fuels has long been recognized in the industry for sustainability. This collaboration with CS Trap Service will allow us to support even more businesses that require high-caliber, eco-friendly waste management solutions,” Hyman added.

Increased Bio-fuel Collection Excellence

This merger was brought to life with a singular ambition: to build a cleaner, smarter, and more biofuel-efficient society.

“CS Trap Service shares this vision with Steve and his team, and we fully pledge our commitment to this mission,” said Robert Boothe, president of CS Trap Service & Bobbie Hurst, director of business development. “By coupling our operational excellence with GPBF’s advanced collection technology, Ontarians are certainly in for an upgraded service experience.”

While this marks an exciting new chapter, the CS Trap Service team members and leaders you know and trust aren’t going anywhere. “Robert Boothe, Bobbie Hurst, and the rest of the dedicated field technicians, customer service representatives, and management team will continue providing the same reliable service our clients have come to expect—now backed by the enhanced resources, technology, and innovation of Green Planet Bio-Fuels,” Hyman stated.

In tandem with the merger, several immediate service enhancements have been rolled out:

  • Advanced Oil Collection System: Both companies now utilize a state-of-the-art algorithm and sensor system inside collection bins to track pickup history and maximize logistics efficiency. Support is backed by a dedicated team available from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, alongside a 24/7 live emergency line for urgent issues.

  • Oil Theft Awareness & Security: All collection trucks are clearly branded and staff members wear official uniforms, significantly improving security and ensuring the safe, verified chain of custody for all used cooking oil and grease.

  • Containment Cleanup: Adhering to the global gold standard for collection, GPBF and CS Trap Service are launching an improved cleanup procedure and introducing updated compliance and instruction labeling for all containment units.

To ensure strict adherence to local grease trap protocols and environmental best practices, all dedicated grease trap cleaning services will continue to be operated under the specialized care of CS Trap Service.

“This is only the beginning of our combined journey,” stated Hyman. “Moving forward, we will introduce even more high-tech, high-efficiency service experiences for our clients across North America, remaining steadfast in our commitment to the global gold standards of waste oil management.”
